The vendor describes this example of Citroen's most performance‑orientated CX as an 'excellent example throughout'. The car was driven 50 miles to the sale, with the drive being noted as 'superb'.
We're told that the alloy wheels have been recently refurbished and fitted with new Michelin TRX tyres ‑ which was the original fitment for these cars. The air‑conditioning is working, as is the four‑window digital dash display. At its last MoT, in June 2022, it passed with no advisories. The vendor's opinion is that it is 'rare to find a CX with no leaks and on which everything works'.
The car was registered in January 1988 and has five former registered keepers showing on its V5C. Its MoT is valid until June 2023 and 81,745 miles are showing on the odometer.
The history folder includes the V5C, document wallet with owner's manual. There are also MoT certificates from 2015, 2016, 2019, 2021 and 2022. There's also a handful of older bills from 2016 including one for a clutch kit. The CX was featured in Modern Classics magazine in 2016, being tested against a Saab 900 Turbo, and although a copy of the magazine doesn't come with the history file, there are images online.
